Acquittal process
On processing of the final claim for grant funds, acquittal documentation is forwarded with the letter confirming payment. Organisations are required to complete and return this acquittal documentation relating to their JCCBF grant within two months of receipt.
The acquittal documentation required for the majority of projects funded by the JCCBF is the completion of the Statutory Declaration Form. This form includes a summary of the information on which the payment of the grant was based and includes the supplier’s name, invoice numbers, dates of payment and amounts. This form must be signed by two members of the successful organisation’s management committee and witnessed by a qualified Justice of the Peace. In addition to this statutory declaration, a report on the benefits of the grant and evidence of appropriate acknowledgement of the funding must also be provided.
For complex or non-capital projects, successful organisations will be required to provide a full audit for the project.
Failure to return this acquittal documentation is recorded and reported to the Board of Trustees and will jeopardise the eligibility of future applications to the JCCBF.
